1:30-3:30 p.m. Dec. 3, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Dec. 4-5, 7. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 9. In honor of this being its 36th year, there will be 36 creatively decorated Christmas trees on display at this hospital’s annual fun, fundraising festival. Held in a 30,000-square-foot white tent on the Torrance Memorial’s campus, this event has a Children’s Marketplace (with most items under $5), a very sweet food court, live entertainment by local groups and family-friendly activities, like face painting, crafts and writing letters to Santa. On Dec. 7, the Torrance Fire and Police Dept. will collect unwrapped new toys its Toys for Tots Drive; anyone bringing a toy with a value of $5 or more will be given free admission between 2-6 p.m., and there will be fire trucks and police vehicles for kids to climb on and sit inside. You can get a photo with Santa and, on Dec. 7 (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) attend the Lunch with Santa, which has a $20 ticket price. This year, all festival proceeds will support the construction of the Torrance Memorial Hunt Cancer Center.
