Smorgasburg BBQ Invitational & Memorial Weekend Carnival

Join Smorgasburg LA for a 3-day BBQ showdown at the Smorgasburg BBQ Invitational, featuring delicious BBQ, from Filipino-Texan fusion to California style and more. The winner secures a free spot at Smorgasburg’s BBQ Day later this summer. Come for the BBQ and stay for the Memorial Weekend Carnival, also happening May 23-25, with inflatable jumpers, games, carnival rides, pony rides and arts and crafts. Fiesta Hermosa
May 23-25 along Pier Ave. and Hermosa Ave., Hermosa Beach
An annual fundraiser for the Hermosa Chamber of Commerce, Fiesta Hermosa is in its 53rd year. Featuring over 250 vendors at their Maker Mercado, five stages of live music, a family-friendly carnival, food fair and dessert depot, a petting zoo, popup mini golf plus The Garden for those 21 and over. Shuttle busses run 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. all weekend long so you can easily get from one hub to the next. FREE.
Topanga Days
May 23-25 at the Topanga Community Center
A beloved tradition of the Topanga Canyon community, Topanga Days features live music, games, contests, food and local vendors all weekend long, plus the annual Memorial Day parade on Monday. Free for ages 5 and under; $16 and up for TCC members; $31.80 and up for non-members.
Canoga Park Memorial Day Parade
May 25 on Sherman Way, Canoga Park
The 34th annual Canoga Park Memorial Day Parade runs along Sherman Way from Owensmouth to Cozycroft. The opening ceremony at 10 a.m. is followed by the parade at 11 a.m. Expect a patriotic parade with vintage cars, local music, businesses and more. FREE.
LA Fleet Week

Join LA Fleet Week for various activations throughout L.A., including a 5K Memorial run and live music at the Santa Monica Pier at 3 p.m. on May 21, a free welcome party in downtown San Pedro at 5 p.m. on May 21, LA Fleet Week Music Festival on the San Pedro waterfront at 4 p.m. on May 23 and more.
Family Fun Day

The City of Pasadena presents the 30th annual Family Fun Day, featuring arts and crafts, games, tiny tot area, bubble zone, bingo, skateboarding expo, live entertainment and free food. FREE.
Fiesta Days
May 23-25 at Memorial Park, La Cañada Flintridge
La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Association hosts this beloved tradition every Memorial Day Weekend. Fiesta Days celebrates both our veterans and the community’s Spanish heritage with festivities all weekend long, including a vintage car show on Saturday morning, family bingo night and ice cream sundae bar Saturday night, picnic with music, dancing and market place on Sunday afternoon, BBQ dinner Sunday evening concluding in a free fireworks show, Memorial Day service and parade on Monday, followed by a community celebration at the park.
Valley Greek Festival

The 50th annual Greek Festival returns to the San Fernando Valley this Memorial Day weekend. Get a taste of Greece with Greek dance performers, music, cooking demos, marketplace, Kids-n-Paint area, bouncers and giant slides and delicious Greek food, drinks and pastries. $5.
Summer Concerts in the Park: The Premier Garth Brooks Experience

Conejo Recreation & Park District’s summer concert series kicks off Memorial Day weekend with country singer and musician Dean Simmons, performing The Premier Garth Brooks Experience. Plus, food from Happy Place Eatery, Connie’s Hot Dogs, Kona Ice and Mister Softee. Free.
MAINopoly: A Taste of Main Street

Foodies of all ages are invited to “MAINopoly: A Taste of Main Street,” an interactive culinary walking tour, inspired by the classic board game of Monopoly.
