Echo’s diverse scholars come from 46 different zip codes within Los Angeles County and approximately 50 percent of our students identify as people of color. Our curriculum combines the best traditional practices with research-based and evidence-tested innovation and emphasizes mastery over performance. Fifteen percent of our students are deaf or hard-of-hearing. They use hearing technology and learn alongside their hearing peers. The advantage of this unique education model is invaluable: all children develop empathy, an appreciation of difference, and essential communication skills.
