The Willows Community School

Woodcrest School
Our Lower School (Elementary School) serves students in kindergarten through fifth grades. For over 50 years, Woodcrest School has delivered a traditional curriculum that prepares students for high school and beyond. Our curriculum includes: reading aloud daily, cursive writing, project based learning, technology integration, timed math facts, and social and emotional buddy ups. Teachers work in small groups to nurture successful and motivated students with the skills needed to reach their highest potential. Every teacher instructs under the guidance of the school’s mission to provide a place where learning is fun and children love learning. The Help Group’s Therapeutic Schools
The Help Group offers differentiated academic instruction paired with therapeutic and behavioral services for students with social and emotional challenges, including depression and anxiety. The Help Group’s Autism Schools
The Help Group offers specialized day schools and programs for children and adolescents with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder. STEM3 Academy offers K-12, college preparatory programs in Valley Glen, Culver City, and Irvine. As the first school in the nation to offer a STEM curriculum to students with social and learning differences, STEM3 Academy is designed to help students who have a passion for STEM-related fields while also filling the growing gap for skilled STEM workers nationwide. With an increase in the number of students with neuro-developmental differences who are interested in STEM fields, we know there is a place for STEM Academy graduates in tomorrow’s workforce. Our focus is on students, learning, and results. Our unique and accelerated curriculum is project-based and experiential. Birch Aquarium Virtual After School Series
Bring the wonder of the underwater world to your young learners during the stretch between school and dinnertime. Our once a week 6-part multi series is offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring for grades K-8. Two ocean educators will build upon kids' curiosity, allowing them to join other learners as we explore ocean science through Zoom in interactive and fun ways. Topics range from discovering ocean habitats and creatures to designing ocean engineering solutions. Financial Aid is available. Members: $135; Public: $150
