- Every fourth Sunday of the month, Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society hosts morning bird walks in Malibu Lagoon. The walk for children and parents begins at 10 a.m. and lasts one hour. The group meets at the metal-shaded viewing area next to the parking lot before walking east towards the lagoon. Bring binoculars if you have them; if you don’t, some are available to borrow. Dressing in layers is suggested, as are a hat and a water bottle. Wear subtle colors if possible.
