10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 4-Jan. 5 (closed Nov. 28, Dec. 25, Jan. 1). This highly interactive exhibition lets museum-goers experience math – in action! Immersive technologies are used to bring to life, in entertaining ways, all the different types of mathematics that are at work behind the things young people love the most – sports, games, design, music, entertainment, space and robotics. Highlights include a downhill race in which visitors can literally ride snowboards and a photo stage where folks can capture their own image in a 360-degree freeze action photo – similar to the techniques used modern action movies. While designed for people of all ages, MathAlive! has particular appeal to students in grades 3-8.
