11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wed.-Sun. Oct. 5-Dec. 29. This Annenberg photography exhibition takes a historical look at civilization’s relationship with barriers, both real and imagined. It explores the various aspects of walls – artistic, social, political, and historical – in six (sometimes overlapping) sections: Delineation, Defense, Deterrent, The Divine, Decoration, and The Invisible. Featuring over 70 artists and photographers, W|ALLS is a complex, challenging, and immersive exhibit that invites guests to contemplate how these structures – from the decorative to the divine – has affected the human psyche and why we keep building them. While there is no suggested ages for this exhibit, it should be suitable for ages 10 and older.
