RUNWAY Juneteenth Celebration

Join RUNWAY for an afternoon of music, culture, community and celebration in honor of Juneteenth. Spend the day on The Turf enjoying live performances by Furnace Band alongside cultural dance and live drumming performances that bring incredible energy to the afternoon. Explore a curated lineup of local vendors, artists and small businesses throughout the event.
Juneteenth Celebration at Melrose Trading Post

Comedian Sampson McCormick hosts the 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Melrose Trading Post, a community celebration at the Greenway Main Stage. This year’s theme is “Claiming the Future.” The line-up includes musicians, artists, poets, wellness practitioners, educators and small businesses. Highlights include “1-2-3 Mindfulness with Me” Plus Breathing Puppet Workshop led by author Alexus Mozell, performance by Babacar’s African Dance Company and more. Kids ages 12 and under are free.
Celebrate Juneteenth: Family Storytime

Join LAPL for a special day honoring Juneteenth. Kids ages 5 -12 and their parent or caregiver are invited to explore Juneteenth’s history, discover what freedom means and learn about the symbols of liberation, joy and resilience followed by an art extension activity. Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required.
Juneteenth Block Party at The Honest Company

Join The Honest Company for a family-friendly (and dog-friendly!) block party in Playa Vista. The free, community event features music by DJ Ms. Cookie, food and drinks from local vendors and food trucks and over 25 Black-Owned businesses.

Juneteenth 2026 in Culver City

Veterans Memorial Park 4117 Overland Ave., Culver City
In partnership with local artists, businesses, and organizations, this free, family-friendly event will bring the community together for a day of reflection, education and celebration. Enjoy a performance of the Black National Anthem, live music, activities for kids, market vendors, community resources and delicious food available for purchase.
34th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

The City of Santa Monica and the Juneteenth Celebration In Santa Monica (JCISM) Committee, with support from BroadStage, present the 34th Annual Juneteenth Celebration centered on the theme “A Legacy of Liberation: Honoring Our Resistance and Resilience.” This free, family-friendly event features fun activities, live music, food, inspiring stories, interactive drum workshop and more. Families are encouraged to bring low chairs, blankets and picnics.
