The famous toy retailer many of us grew up with is opening brick-and-mortar stores across the U.S., including a flagship location at Camarillo Premium Outlets. Toys “R” Us filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and closed all locations. In 2021 they slowly reopened within select Macy’s stores. Just in time for the holidays, Toys“R”Us is back, opening flagship stores and seasonal shops.
Toys “R” Us Camarillo will have its grand opening celebration on Oct. 25 with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. followed by the store opening at 10 a.m. The celebrations continue through the weekend with face painting, balloon twisting, appearances by beloved Toys “R” Us mascot Geoffrey® the Giraffe and swag bags for the first 50 guests, with the first 25 guests receiving full size plush from Snoozimals.
The new flagship store encourages shoppers to rediscover the joy of play through its immersive shopping experience, including claw machines and gashapon machines, with Tomy Gacha machines, which are popular in Japan, launching in the U.S. for the first time.
Toys“R”Us at Camarillo Premium Outlets is located at 630 E. Ventura Blvd, Suite, 1202A, Camarillo, CA 93010. For more information visit ToysRUsCamarillo.com and @ToysRUsCamarillo on Instagram.
