Have you been to Los Angeles Union Station recently? Along with its beautiful architecture and artwork on display, the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western United States has opened three new small businesses: North Figueroa Bookshop, Mignon Chocolate and Robeks Juice.
Located in the Waiting Room, North Figueroa Bookshop is an independent bookstore that originated in Highland Park and now serves commuting Angelenos via its new kiosk, which is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A family business since 1935, Mignon Chocolate has been crafting chocolate using a combination of time-tested craft, innovative techniques and an obsession with making a premium chocolate that delivers a spectrum of flavors for each unique palate. Hours are Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Mariam and Kevin Aivazian, the dynamic husband-and-wife duo behind the newly acquired Robeks Juice location at Los Angeles Union Station, utilize fresh fruits and vegetables at their peak ripeness for smoothies and juices. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
