Summer brings higher temperatures and increased pollen and pollution in the air. That can cause trouble for the thousands of SoCal kids living with asthma.
Watch for these warning signs from the American Lung Association that your child’s asthma might not be under control:
1. Needing to use a quick-relief inhaler more than two times per week
2. Waking at night with asthma symptoms more than two times per month
3. Having to refill a quick-relief inhaler more than two times per year
If you’ve noticed any of these, check with your healthcare provider. Learn more about asthma at lung.org/asthmabasics.
