After bringing us home décor, furniture collections and even personalized planners, Joy Cho, mother of two and founder of Oh Joy!, has entered the world of children’s books.
Available for purchase now, Cho’s vibrant board book “Be Curious!” takes readers on an adventure with a curious cat that uses its sensory nervous system to further understand the world we live in.
Exploring the backyard, a birthday party and then the great beyond, the orange-speckled cat takes us on a trip that spells fun for the whole family with novelty page flaps and bright illustrations.

The artwork and easy-to-read text will keep your children engaged and focused on the plot while you read the rhythmical sentences aloud: “Tickle me pink! Don’t miss this chance: What’s a sound that makes you dance?”
Oh Joy? products are known for Cho’s signature pops of color, and children’s book Illustrator Angie Stalker embodies the brand in “Be Curious” and a forthcoming title, “You’re Okay!,” which explores themes of resilience and solutions.
Cho says her children were the inspiration for her books. “As a parent, I am always thinking about how to raise children that will grow up to be kind, capable and creative adults,” she says. “These books are inspired by exactly that, and teaching kids these qualities that I feel are so important now and in the future – like following curiosity, expressing feelings and showing kindness to others. Each book covers a different topic as seen through adventures among friends going about their everyday life.”
