Sender One is a premier climbing gym company with locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. Sender One’s purpose is to help people discover themselves and connect with others through climbing. The spaces are built to inspire, encourage and bring people together.
Alice Kao, co-founder and CEO, discovered climbing while living and working in London in 2008, following a difficult breakup. She was inspired by the healing and self-discovery that climbing brought her, which led her to co-found Sender One in 2011 upon returning to the United States with her business partners.
Sender One is perfect for climbers of all levels, from kids to seasoned climbers, with six locations: Westwood, LAX, Playa Vista, Lakewood, Santa Ana and Aliso Viejo.
Sender One Aliso Viejo just opened on Feb. 1 and brings world-class climbing and a new family-friendly activity to South Orange County. Located at The Commons (26505 Aliso Creek Rd.), the 24,000-square-foot space features rope climbing, bouldering, yoga and fitness, plus Sender City, a colorful, interactive climbing adventure for kids and families, unlike anything else in the area.
Sender One’s children offerings include:

- Sender City: A colorful, dynamic climbing center designed for climbers of all levels to explore, play and push their limits in a fun environment. Available at LAX, Lakewood, Santa Ana and Aliso Viejo locations.
- Birthday Parties: A high-energy, confidence-building party that kids will never forget at Sender City. Kids are encouraged, supported, and celebrated as they try something new and cheer each other on. Available at Sender One locations with Sender City. Westwood and Playa Vista locations offer parties with facilitated climbing.
- Rock Climbing Camps: Sender One’s rock climbing camps are a fun and active activity for children during school breaks. Camps are available for half- and full-day spring camps and summer camps.
