Summer is in full swing, which means road trips, camping trips and ocean dips. Take a drive down the coast to San Diego’s family friendly RV campground, Campland, to experience all three. Campland offers waterfront RV and tent camping along Mission Bay in San Diego, in addition to a wide range of activities and recreational opportunities like water sports, e-bike rentals, a cantina and, starting last week, live music!
This summer Campland’s popular live music programming “Campland Rocks” returns to Central Park lawn. Through Sept. 4 resort guests can bring a blanket and lawn chairs to enjoy open-air musical performances by top cover bands like Weezer tribute band Geezer and Matchbox Twenty tribute band Matchbox Twenty Too. Concerts are held Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Full lineup can be found here.
Other kid-approved outdoor entertainment includes the new giant water slide, human foosball, and dodgeball. Adults can partake in weekly yoga classes, horseshoe tournaments and bean bag toss matches. Arts and crafts like tie-dye workshops are also available to resort guests.
If you don’t own an RV, local RV rental arrangements can be made through various rental companies. Guests can also choose to tent camp instead. With close proximity to the San Diego Zoo, Legoland and Sea World, your family won’t run out of things to do.
Campland on the Bay is located at 2211 Pacific Beach Dr., San Diego, 92109.
