The Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) is continuing its work to elevate parents’ voices through its Parent Ambassador program, an opportunity for caregivers who’ve completed a PIQE course to step into leadership roles in their own communities. Ambassadors receive training in everything from storytelling to navigating education systems, helping them advocate for fair, accessible schools for all families.
Last summer, 16 parent leaders from Los Angeles and Orange counties came together for PIQE’s two-day parent ambassador training. The weekend was filled with shared stories, hands-on workshops, legislative role play and deep conversations about the real challenges families face — from language barriers to digital access. Parents left feeling empowered, connected and ready to support other families in their districts.
