While the holidays may be over, food insecurity remains a year-round issue for many Los Angeles families. Through Jan. 16, residents looking for an easy way to help can donate non-perishable food items to the Westside Food Bank at a collection site in Culver City.
Donation bins are available in the lobby of The Shay, located at Ivy Station near the Metro E Line, making it a convenient stop for commuters, families and locals already spending time in the area. Items such as canned goods, rice, pasta and other shelf-stable foods will go directly toward supporting Westside Food Bank’s ongoing efforts to serve communities across L.A.’s Westside.
Post-holiday months are often among the most challenging for food banks, as donations typically drop just as demand remains high. Community drop-off sites like this one help bridge that gap by giving families simple, accessible ways to contribute—without needing to commit to a formal volunteer shift.
The donation drive runs through Jan. 16. Learn more about the Westside Food Bank here.
