The clouds have (maybe) parted, spring is upon us, and those slightly warmer temperatures we’re hoping for will bring us right to Easter. If you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday locally, we’ve rounded up some big events happening around town, many of which include photos with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, crafts and more. Springtime Easter Festival, Moorpark Farm Center
Happening March 18 through April 10, this spring event includes myriad farmyard activities, from Farmer Craig’s Chicken Show and tractor-drawn wagon rides to Easter Bunny photo opportunities. The farm will also be decorated with giant Easter eggs, plus the Easter Bunny’s house. A food and refreshment court will be located in the event area. Easter Brunch Cruise with City Experiences
Why not celebrate the Easter holiday on the open ocean? Bring the whole family for a two-hour brunch cruise on April 9 with specialty wines, signature cocktails, a buffet of fresh, seasonal offerings (including a kids’ station) and live entertainment. Guests 21 and older will enjoy unlimited mimosas. The brunch is offered at ports in San Diego and Marina Del Rey.
Easter Eggstravaganza in Camarillo
This free community event for the whole family includes crafts, live music, an inflatable obstacle course and more. You can also take your photo with the Easter Bunny. The event takes place April 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. some shopping, take your photo with the Easter Bunny, enjoy food, music, and activities in the park.
Bunny Brunch at The Americana
If your child really loves the Easter Bunny, why not have a sit-down brunch together? Trattoria Amici at The Americana is hosting two brunches with the Easter Bunny on April 1; seatings are at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., and prices begin at $27 per person. After brunch, the little ones are invited to enjoy a special Easter egg hunt on The Green.
Easter Fete In Calabasas
The Lakes at Thousand Oaks is celebrating springtime with its Easter Fête on April 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In partnership with Calabasas Mommy, this year’s event is jam-packed with activities for family and friends to enjoy. Hosted on The Lawn, the complimentary celebration will include a petting zoo, face painters, a DJ, festive springtime crafts – and best of all – photos with your favorite furry friend, the Easter Bunny!
Easter in Downtown Santa Monica
Downtown Santa Monica is hosting a free and family-focused Easter celebration on April 2 from noon to 3 p.m. along the Third Street Promenade. The celebration includes a free photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny, a family-friendly musical performance, face painting, balloon artists, kids activities, games and more. The first 350 attendees will also receive a free Easter treat. While the event is free, registration is encouraged, and you can do so here.
Breakfast with Bunny at 2nd and PCH
Here’s another Brunch With Bunny opportunity! There are three Breakfast with Bunny events on the schedule at 2nd and PCH, on April 1 and April 8, at Ola Mexican Kitchen, Active Culture Cafe and Noble Bird Rotisseries. Reservations are required. Happenings at The Collection RiverPark in Oxnard
This Oxnard destination is celebrating the season with all kinds of family-friendly activities to keep your little bunnies hopping with egg-citement. Photos with Spring Bunny are available March 27 – April 8; there’s a Spring Bunny scavenger hunt set up in the shopping center (find the hunt at Guest Services, located at 2751 Park View Court, then come back for a prize once you’ve completed your search); and on April 5, a Spring Kids Club from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Collection Park, will include arts and crafts and activities for all ages.
