Build-A-Bear Workshop launched their first-ever Build-A-Bear x Hello Kitty® and Friends Workshop on Nov. 15 at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. Sanrio fans of all ages can now create their very own plush at Build-A-Bear’s latest location, choosing from exclusive Hello Kitty® designs.
“The opening of the Build-A-Bear x Hello Kitty® and Friends Workshop is a meaningful moment for both of our brands,” said Sharon Price John, President and CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop. “This workshop is about creating a space where guests of all ages can connect with their favorite Sanrio characters in a fun and memorable way. It’s a special experience that brings together the magic of childhood with the creativity of today’s culture, and we’re excited to share it with the West Los Angeles community.”
Families can look forward to an immersive experience, as they select their Sanrio character, themed clothes, accessories and special additions like a scent or heartbeat to add to their plush. Each guest partakes in a sweet “heart ceremony” to activate their special new friend. The grand opening weekend coincides with both the 50th anniversary of culture icon Hello Kitty® and World Kindness Day.
