Ice skating rinks are back this winter. Grab your skates –or rent them—and show off your moves at these L.A. ice skating rinks.
Pasea Hotel & Spa’s outdoor Oceanfront Ice Rink is the perfect place for an only-in-California winter experience. Nov. 25 through Jan. 2 locals and visitors can enjoy special theme nights on the rink like Ugly Sweater Night and Santa visits while taking in ocean views. Other seasonal fun at the hotel includes holiday cocktails, hot cocoa, s’mores kits, holiday movies on a big screen and more. $25.
Outdoor immersive experience The Elf on the Shelf’s Holiday Magical Journey at the Pomona Fairplex includes an open-air ice skating rink, in addition to a Christmas village with shopping and dining, through Jan. 2. $19.95 – $24.95.
Santa Ana Winter Village will feature an outdoor ice-skating rink from Dec. 8 – Jan. 2. Enjoy live entertainment, shopping and local food trucks before or after your skate session. $10-$12 for adults and $5-$8 for kids ages 3-12.
LA Kings Holiday Ice outdoor rink returns to LA Live through Jan. 8. Present your ticket stub to participating restaurants for special dinner deals. $20 – $25.
Enjoy the ice skating rink, in addition to holiday-themed food, beverages and photos with Santa, at Dodger’s Holiday Festival Nov. 26 – Dec. 31. $16 and up; free for ages 3 and under.
Head over to Iceland Ice Skating Center in Van Nuys on Dec. 18 for Have an Ice Day! benefitting spcaLA, a nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California. $20.
Not quite an ice skating rink, but a sock skating rink! Visit Kidspace in Pasadena Nov. 19 – Jan. 9 for WinterFrolic, which is full of wintery fun like their no-ice Sock Skating rink, holiday-themed story time and snowflake decorating. $14.95 general admission; sock skating rink is an additional $5 per person.
If you’d rather watch skaters, than skate yourself, Disney on Ice returns to SoCal with “Dream Big,” featuring world-class skaters as Mickey, Moana and other favorite Disney characters. Dec. 8 through Jan. 2 catch Disney on Ice in Anaheim, Ontario, Long Beach or L.A. $25 and up.
