Looking for a dino-mite family adventure that’s larger than life? This holiday season, South Coast Botanic Garden, located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, is transforming into a prehistoric wonderland filled with roaring dinosaurs and lush landscape — all waiting to be explored!
From Nov. 1 through Feb 1, visitors can embark on a journey millions of years in the making with Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors — an outdoor exhibition that brings the Age of Reptiles to life in the most unexpected setting: the stunning gardens of Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Using advanced animatronics, cutting-edge science and immersive storytelling, Dinosaurs Around the World transports visitors to the supercontinent Pangea, where all of Earth’s landmasses were once connected.
You can make your dinosaur trek as epic — or as easy — as you like! Guest can explore the Short Loop, which is a half-mile stroll featuring seven dinosaurs and perfect for little explorers, or the Full Adventure, a 1.5-mile journey that reveals all 13 life-sized animatronic giants in their prehistoric habitats.
Want to take your exploration to the next level? Hop aboard the Pangea Express, a guided, non-stop tour of all 13 dinosaurs. On this 8-passenger adventure, your guide will share dino facts, Pangea secrets and stories about the garden’s very own “living fossils” — plants that have been around since the dinosaurs ruled the Earth.
“Dinosaurs Around the World is the largest exhibition we’ve ever hosted, both in number of dinosaurs and in size,” says Adrienne Nakashima, CEO of South Coast Botanic Garden. “We’re committed to connecting people of all ages to the wonders of nature through engaging and unexpected events. Whether you’re a dinosaur fan, geology enthusiast or plant lover, there’s something for everyone.”
It’s the perfect mix of science, storytelling and outdoor exploration — a must-see for families looking to make magical memories this holiday season.

Tickets for Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors are free for members and up to $18 for non-members. Tickets for the Pangea Express are an additional $10 for members and $12 for non-members, and seats are limited to six per tour, so be sure to reserve early!
