L.A. radio station, KCRW, launches the inaugural Young Creators Project, which gives local musicians, storytellers, poets and artists under the age of 21 an opportunity to show off their talents. Video submission will be open March 1-31 for musicians, April 1-30 for poets and storytellers and May 1-31 for visual artists.
KCRW music and culture teams and industry executives will choose the best of the best to highlight on KCRW’s airwaves and social media and marketing platforms. All young creators that submit entries are invited to KCRW’s virtual AMA (Ask Me Anything) series. The AMA panel include top KCRW producers and DJs like Anne Litt, Anthony Valadez and more. For a select group of young creators, KCRW will host a virtual group critique event with KCRW staff and industry leaders. The Young Creators Project will culminate with a live showcase in June, featuring the best of the best in all categories.
Musicians, poets, storytellers and visual artists must be based in L.A. and under the age of 21 to submit. Selected artists will be notified one week after submissions close. For more information on submission guidelines, visit kcrw.com/youngcreators.
