The beloved Pasadena children’s museum, Kidspace, is officially opening and the timing couldn’t be better. The May 6 reopening features the museum’s 25th Annual Butterfly Season, a springtime celebration throughout Kidspace’s 3.5 acre outdoor campus. Children can spot fanciful caterpillars hidden for visitors to find, fly by butterflies on the trikes course, add their artistic touch to a 2,500 square foot chalk mural and make butterfly seed balls to take home and plant to attract local pollinators.
Families can even adopt a butterfly by purchasing a caterpillar and butterfly kit at the museum. In just a few weeks, children can observe the transformation from caterpillar to migratory butterfly.
“We’ve been waiting more than a year to welcome families back to Kidspace and being able to reunite in this playful space is a source of real celebration for our staff,” said Kidspace CEO Lisa Clements. “We can’t wait to have families back where they belong – laughing, climbing, drawing, and splashing together here at Kidspace.”
Kidspace Children’s Museum is open Thursdays – Mondays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. starting Thursday, May 6. Advance online reservations are required.
