Valencia Town Center recently wrapped up a successful seasonal coat drive, collecting 125 new and gently used coats to help keep Los Angeles-area families warm this winter.
From Oct. 13 through Dec. 31, the popular Santa Clarita shopping destination participated in the nationwide One Warm Coat “Share the Warmth” drive, an annual initiative that provides free coats to people in need while reducing textile waste. All locally donated coats benefited Bridge to Home, a Santa Clarita–based nonprofit that provides shelter and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The drive was sponsored locally by Centennial, the firm that owns Valencia Town Center, and reflects the center’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community it serves.
A nationwide effort with local impact
One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that no one goes without a coat during cold weather. During the 2024–2025 coat drive season, the organization helped distribute nearly 500,000 coats nationwide, while keeping more than 1 million pounds of textiles out of landfills.
By partnering with Bridge to Home, Valencia Town Center ensured that donated coats stayed in the Santa Clarita Valley, directly supporting neighbors in need —including children, adults and families facing housing insecurity.
Supporting families beyond shopping
Located just north of Los Angeles in the Santa Clarita Valley, Valencia Town Center is a two-level regional retail destination featuring more than 140 retailers and restaurants, along with a stylish outdoor district known as The Patios, complete with lush landscaping and interactive water features.
Community-focused initiatives like the One Warm Coat drive are part of Valencia Town Center’s broader effort to support local nonprofits and create meaningful connections beyond retail.
