Metrolink’s seasonal train returns to Southern California for three weekends in December. Beginning Saturday, Dec. 6 the annual Holiday Express will depart from five stations: Los Angeles, San Bernadino, Irvine, Riverside and Simi Valley. Although Irvine and Simi Valley station tickets have sold out, families can still experience holiday magic from L.A. Union Station, San Bernadino Depot Station and Riverside-Downtown Station.
Arrive early for themed activities like holiday music, treats, crafts, photo booths, face painting and giveaways. Once aboard the Holiday Express, get visits from Santa, Mrs. Claus, carolers and more merry helpers for plenty of photo opportunities. The nonstop round-trip ride lasts approximately 75 minutes. There is no food or beverages available for purchase aboard the train, but families are welcome to bring their own holiday snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.
In the spirit of giving, Metrolink is hosting a toy drive during the Holiday Express. Each station will have a collection bin to drop off your new, unwrapped toy to support local families in need. Those who bring a toy will receive a free Metrolink pass as a thank you.
Tickets are $35 for standard seating, $35 for premium seats, which include a tabletop surface. Children ages two and under ride for free, as long as they can sit on an adult’s lap.
